The 2010 K'Nex Challenge

The Challenge: This years challenge was to build a windmill.
Criteria:
The windmill had to have four sailsBe at least the height of an A4 piece of paperInclude a door for Prince Arthur to enter .Include a turning handle to manually rotate the sails in the event of no wind blowing.Include a platform for Prince Arthur to stand upon to turn the handle for the sails.Plus extra points were awarded for a working set of gears to help rotate the sailsTEACHER FEEDBACK

Toby & Daniels windmill had both a pulley and a gear mechanism which drove the grinding stones, and came very highly recommended by experienced engineer Ian Williamson
Well Done to all of the children who took part this year. All of the models were brilliant!
We wonder what next years challenge will be..... If you would like to take part in the 2011 K'Nex Challenge, look out for the fax back which should arrive at the school office in early September.
