Creature Crazy Competition

A fun, practical Science & Technology run during National Science and

Engineering Week 2010 in Hertfordshire Primary Schools

Brief:
to create a creature from the past, present, future, or even from another world, using only a given number of card squares of different sizes. Only pritt-stick style glue was allowed to make the creature, and only pen/pencil to decorate so it could be recycled afterwards (no paint, sellotape, paperclips etc). And finally the children had just 1 hour.

A total of 89 schools responded to this challenge and applied for the competition pack online, of which 54 submitted entries before the deadline for a chance to win some great prizes. Out of these 54 entries our panel of judges (after much deliberation) finally decided on the 3 overall winners, 7 runners up and 3 highly commended students from the schools listed below.
